Pretty much a bjork obsessive so that will do me. I did 3 of her manchester gigs which were stunning.

Bjorks a complete genius.

Pretty gutted about bestival last year, as it fell on my wedding anniversary.

The Cure have been confirmed to play Primavera Sound on June 1st and Bilbao BBK July 12-13th.

Latitude is still possible but its looking more and more unlikely as they can only play on Sunday 15th and it means a rush to get from Portugal on the 14th.

Unless you bum Biophilia and artistic/self-indulgent concept sets, Bjork may well disappoint, I was frustrated by her Bestival show. The Cure should be stunning though.

I thought that Bjork actually played one of the best sets of the weekend and the crowd were much more polite than the crowd watching The Cure the night before, where I had to leave half way through the set.

I can see some artistic merit in it, but having only heard a leak of biophilia once before, it really disappointed me. I'm not saying it was awful and noone should like it. I hated it though. I found that a lot of the songs I like had the more dirgey aspects emphasised.

Biophilia is like most great records, they needed to be listened to quite a few times to understand the full glorious beauty of it.

saying that though, I did put on the bestival forum that I wasnt sure how bjorks current live set up would go on a big festival stage(after watching her in manchester). Im hoping she does not play the big stage at roskilde but in a tent somewhere.

It's not the sort of set you want the first time you see an artist live.

you never get tht with bjork though, she never does greatest hit setlist, but tours consist of new albums generally. Oh so quiet is probably her biggest 'hit' and she never sings that. Its a bit like watching radiohead, alot of people will be disapointed after seeing them this year as it will be based on the new album. I kinda like that as there putting there heart and soul in there performance rather than going through the motions singing creep and big time sensuality.

but festival setlists shouldnt be like that granted, I just was bjork to do vespertine in full.

Ohhh, I forgot about Exit. Is there meant to be a confirmation tonight? You could be right on that one!

Edit: Exit seems a little doubtful like Latitude as it clashes with their dates in Spain and Portugal.

Primavera is a possibility this year. The Cure being a big part of the draw.

The Electric Picnic dosent usually announce till the middle of March, so the EP forum will be relying on long time poster and reliable source The Log to confirm that which is usually a few weeks before the announcement. Will keep ya posted. When you were talking about the Eastern europe part of the tour perhaps Sziget in Budapest might get them too.
