Al2006
So who is going to Green Man Festival this year? Personally I can't wait, I would almost say I enjoyed it more than Glastonbury last year! Done a bit of snooping around... Tickets on sale and first announcement - Monday 30th January Who is everyone hoping will play? I watched an interview a few months back saying there would be some old friends and surprises for the 10th Green Man! I'm thinking there is quite a high possibility Bon Iver will play, as he went down so well in 2009 and he is playing festivals in Europe at the start of August! Hrairoo
I'm pretty much counting down the days until August, cant wait! If you havent already seen them, it's worth checking out these GM Sessions from last year's festival.... http://vimeo.com/32959934 Edited January 24, 2012 by Hrairoo

paulomas
Feist headlining one of the nights. never been to this festival before but I think I might have to go now because of this announcement
Al2006
I'd highly recommend it, looking at the past festivals you've been to it seems like you haven't really been to any festival like it, but you will love it! It really is an awesome location, and the best sound i've ever heard at a festival (and better than most gigs i've been to aswell!)
Hrairoo
I'm really delighted with this announcement - though I would have gone any way as I love Green Man. Role on August!

Mikeydread
Tickets bought - Glastonbury alternative and it's roughly the same capacity as the first time I went to Glasto - which in my opinion is now far too big. Been looking at this festival for a few years - so really looking forward to it.

paulomas
just got home from feist at the royal albert hall. easily one of the best gigs i have ever seen. 2hr 15 minute set, she was flawless from start to finish. she will be incredible as a headliner at a festival, i cannot wait
Hrairoo
Yes Feist was totally amazing on Sunday, perfect for the mainstage at GM. And they've just announced Adam Buxton's BUG will be the Thursday night entertainment - brilliant news! Looking forward to the next GM line-up announcement as so far it's spot on

Al2006
Line up is looking great, I hope we get someone crazy for the friday night though, as in psychedelic crazy. that would be cool. Also hoping for Tallest Man On Earth, John Grant and James Blake again would be awesome!
Tmeister
got my tickets for greenman looking forward to it too... i've lost the love for Glastonbury these days far to big and getting a ticket for that is a pain....i'm loving the smaller fest like Greenman, End of the Road these days have been for the past few years and love it
Al2006
How does EOTR compare to Green Man? I've always been tempted by EOTR and sometimes prefer the line up, but i just can't imagine it being as nice as Green Man Green Man - beautiful setting, amazing sound, loads of different things to do, chai wallahs..?
Hrairoo
I prefer Green Man by a long way - I went to EOTR once but to be honest I found it alittle dull. Other than the music, which was partly why I went, there wasnt much else going on to capture your imagination. Have you listened to this year's GM Spotify playlist? It's sounding pretty darn good! I'm getting worried that I'm not going to be able to see all the bands I want to - but I guess that's a good dilemma to have!...
Al2006
Tallest Man On Earth, The Bees, The Staves, Joe Driscoll, Yes Sir Boss... and loads more added today. http://www.greenman.net/news/good-things-come-threes-we-announce-more-music-plus-einsteins-garden-and-chai-wallahs-goodies Line up really is looking great.
