luckysalt
What is said above 25 song set with 10 from 1st 3 is decent, but they haven't done that when I saw them last which was the Meds tour. Id be happy with that. Still think if they did WYIN in full then a lot of people would want to see that

mrtourette
Biffy are better headline material at this moment in time in this country. They may be media darlings but that's an attractive thing for festival promotors, they like to see potential ticket sales and interest (whether it's deserved or not). t8yman
that was based on a template someone on the official forums made in 2011, I would be really happy with that lineup, but its obviously fake. oh, and welcome to the board Charles Edited January 23, 2012 by t8yman
spitfireman
Agreed - the design looks spot on but aren't coheed and killswitch having 'band problems' atm?? Apart from that it looks pretty good and i'd be happy with that line up. I agree with biffoire though .... noting 'unbelievable' here, but then one mans 'unbelievable' is anothers 'whatever'! Only time will tell!
biffoire
Also, I'd find it odd for them to go from having no bands announced to that amount. But I don't organise festivals so I don't know. they might have that many bands booked. Question is, would they announce them in one go? Or would they hold some bands back for further announcement. t8yman
I think KSE will be there anyway, the band self confirmed a while ago didnt they? I know the Metal Hammer podcast spoke about it as if it was official late last year, they are auditioning singers now too.

luckysalt
I have a new theory of who is playing and would tie into kerrangs you wont believe whos playing and the fact theyre doing wakestock much like biffy did Dizzee Rascal
mrtourette
Yeah I thought that, wouldn't be surprised to have him in there as a crossover act. Would be shocked if he headlined though.

biffoire
I'm thinking the announcement is a leftfield act rather than someones opinion. I'm expecting one of the headliners to be a band that hasn't been mentioned as a rumour. Someone you'd never have thought about. My guess. Nirvana. They took a risk with Biffy and it really paid off. So maybe they're continuing that trend. Edited January 23, 2012 by biffoire
lharris92
to be honest kerrang are probably hyping it up a bit so they get a few more sales on the magazine, tis a typical PR stunt
pete76
I'd like to be wrong on this one, but I don't think RATM and FNM will come again for the 3rd time in last 5 years, not having any new material. Both Blink 182 and The Offspring will be playing fests in the summer and none of them been announced for Download. So that might be one of the headliners. Other will be some classic stuff like Kiss or Queen. The last one is a mystery...
jump
I remember in Soni's 1st year when The Sun reported Soni only had 1 stage and the next day they came out and said bullshit we've got loads. I miss that attitude of doing things from them.

biffoire
This is a good point and would be a cheaper headliner to enable the undercard to be better, plus DIzzee is one of those who is liked by a broad amount of people.

spitfireman
Sorry ... but why would Soni have to offer him anything? surely he wouldn't be suitable for Soni? I'm happy to have some random discussions of possible acts but surely not this? Yes, he subbed glasto and could do the same at R&L but i can't see him at soni. However i do agree with the idea that one of the headliners could be something leftfield and unexpected .... christ knows who though! Personally i'd be up for 'local boys done good' Enter Shikari who've just got a No.1 album .... but can't see that happening either!
