Sorry - quite disappointing - unexciting headliners and almost the same bands as at NDH and lots of repeats from last year

...still going to be great though

Edit: After initial slight dissapointment It's still a FANTASTIC line-up

Are all these Bella Union bands only going to play on the Friday for their curated day?

...and yep wrong about the headliners cos the other 2 haven't been allocated (doh!) - LOTS of announcements to look forward to in that case!!

Nigey_boy: who do you think is headlining? They've only announced Grizzly Bear so far, I thought....[and Tindersticks as "co-headliners"]

Little bit disappointing with the duplication (I was hoping for the Shins), but looking at Bella Union's roster, how many of those bands haven't played EoTR? We were always going to get some repetition.

And the overall lineup is pretty sweet already :)

Yeah, got to echo some of the sentiments expressed by others here. As great as pretty much all of these artists are, the fact that most have played already, and quite recently, is a tad disappointing. That said, I never got to see John Grant or LOTL last year, so I'll probably be somewhere there or thereabouts during their sets.

Got to say, I'll still thoroughly enjoy myself.

definitely close to the point where i could skip NDH, apart from Other Lives and Diagrams.

on the eotr lineup list, there are now half a dozen acts in bold at the top, but apart from (assumed) Grizzly Bear as Woods stage I can't see many of the others as other than Garden stage headlining? Possibly the John Grant / Midlake collective much discussed last year?

Mixed feelings - I love the Low Anthem, John Grant, LOTL, and would like to see them all again.

However, it does feel like just a repeat of previous years. I've seen all of the above at EOTR before, and as much as I'd love to again, you can't repeat the same trick with the same 'magic' as the first time.

Alessi's Ark - yeah ; Dirty Three - yeh sir! ; John Grant - ab fab; Lanterns On The Lake - bloody brilliant; The Low Anthem - bloody fantastic; Midlake - blooming amazing; Mountain Man - won't miss them this time; Roy Harper - absolutely bloody blooming amazingingly wonderful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can't believe the lack of love and big-ups for the Roy Harper booking - an absolute living god

Mmm I'm only going to echo what has been said already...possibly the most underwhelming announcement from EOTR yet. I know I said John Grant would possibly sway me, but with the rest of that lineup I still won't bother. Can we not have someone new?? That's what I always loved about EOTR, that even if I hadn't heard of the bands, 99% of them were great. Now this is the just same old.

At least with John Grant there though there's every chance he'll play a London show too so I can just go see him there instead. I love Grizzly Bear but they're bound to be on the Woods stage, in which case I probably wouldn't bother seeing them anyway. Nope sorry, really disappointed so far.

How are people who bought the jooint tickets feeling about all that overlap too? Suddenly I'm not feeling like I might have made a mistake missing that offer.

Glad some of you youngsters know who he is. :P

I saw him in Brizzle about 6 years ago, the first time I'd seen him in decades. Sadly, he wasn't all he used to be, but age catches up with us all eventually. He was still bloody good tho. :)

Pretty happy with the line-up so far. Already have almost ten must-sees. Sure there's some people coming back but most of the time there's too many great bands to see so will make any potential clashes easier!

Delighted with The Dirty Three (its impossible to get bored of Warren Ellis) and the word on the new Tindersticks album is that its a real return to form, which would be great as they were a bit dull at EoTR last time. Also very happy to see Veronica Falls announced, and Roy Harper.

Have Grizzly Bear and Beach House played before? I saw both at Green Man but haven't seen them at EoTR before (have only been to three so they may well have played one of the other years). The only two that elicited a "really, again?" response from me were Midlake and The Low Anthem. Otherwise all good.

You know what? With a bit of time to take stock of the announcement, I think I was a little hasty to write it off.

Midlake (awesome last year, but their return seems "too soon")

Mountain Man (pulled out last year?)

Our Broken Garden (not played before as far as I know)

Poor Moon (don't know them, so a new act to check out)

Roy Harper (not familiar with his work, another new act)

Veronica Falls (I wanted them to be announced)

Alessi's Ark (not played in recent years, if at all)

Beach House (not played before and were lovely when I saw them at the Roundhouse)

Cashier No. 9 (not played before and another new one on me)

Dirty Three (not played since 2008? Not really a fan though)

Hannah Cohen (she's new to their roster and was always going to be announced)

I Break Horses (not played before)

John Grant (played last year but I missed him)

Jonathan Wilson (new to me)

Lanterns On The Lake (missed them last year and wanted them back)

The Low Anthem (OK, yeah, the one that's played a lot over the past few years)

I'm still fully expecting Fleet Foxes to headline for Bella Union, and that wouldn't be such a bad thing for me. So all in all, not as bad as I first made out.

Already so many negative comments.

I don't know too many bands on this list but those I do know look pretty good to me, especially so early on and with lots to come. I am looking forward already to finding more about those bands new to me. I do know that Bella Union is a class label, so there won't be much rubbish amongst them, with the promise of even more to come.

I thought Midlake were fab last year. The fact they are back is just a bonus as I really wanted to see them again, as I did The Antlers who I loved in 2010.

Beach House are good as are Grizzly Bear, The Low Anthem, etc etc etc. The list is subjectively endless. I missed LOTL last year and really want to catch them and Jonathan Wilson and Cashier No 9 are my current top albums.

I hadn't planned to buy my tickets yet and I wasn't expecting to commit until much later in the year, but I am now about to make the purchase.

This is starting to look like a quality line up to me and only likely to get better.
