That's very bad form of them, no matter how good they believe their info to be. It's not their place to help destroy the viability of what still might be a viable event.

People on twitter and facebook are now saying Soni isn't gonna cancelled and it's actually Phoenix that's going to be announced which would be a bit weird since it was never announced as happening in the 1st place.

However that's not confirmation it's cancelled, just confirmation tickets are selling horrendously badly

SatansHollow Manchester Definitely, we've spoken to people close to the festival organizers and its legit cancelled. Its a shame cause the line up had some awesome bands playing and we had some promo nights lined up for it with ticket giveaways!

I'd heard that about the security too. Same weekend as the torch relay hitting Hatfield and some other local festival in Welwyn, which are both only down the road. Wouldn't have thought they'd be the dealbreakers though.

I haven't got my ticket yet - was hoping for another anouncement to seal the deal. Doh!

and Ticketmaster have pulled sales, both sites were selling tickets up to a few mins ago.
