Are you forgetting that V Festival is a very 'what's in at the moment' festival? The Stone Roses haven't been around for years they are not 'in'.. don't get me wrong i'd love to see them play but just saying Lady Gaga will definatley (if she is annouced) take priority over The Stone Roses.

Big names have been low down main stage or on 2nd stage before while (in the eyes of the indie/rock crowd) lesser bands/acts like the Kooks, Rihanna, The Script have been higher up or 2nd stage headliners ie. Primal Scream, Madness, The Prodigy, Manic Street Preachers etc...

It's totally possible that the Stone Roses would take 2nd Stage headliners...do you think the T4 viewers really care that much about an old band getting back together?

It doesn't rule out any of the strongly rumoured headliners/sub headliners but there is a leaked R+L poster doing the rounds which has Green Day, Kasabian, Foos, New Order, Black Keys and Slipknot as headliners and subs. Think only New Order and Black Keys may have been mentioned on here so would rule them out. Also mentioned are Maccabees,Temper Trap, Lost Prophets, Kaiser Chiefs, Vampire Weekend and Wombats so would rule all of them out also.

Obviously nothing is confirmed with R+L, but it would add weight to Noel, FATM, Vaccines, Snow Patrol, Noel and Coldplay all playing at V
