It just occured to me that a new album is in the works and I hear they went down a treat at Glastonbury. Soundgarden wouldn't go amiss either - maybe the wrong vibe but whatever.

Because its quite a small festival is it harder to get rumours due to the smaller marketing force?

I really like that it could be a really unexpected headliner, last year The Cure seemed to just be announced completely out of the blue - were they rumoured on here or anywhere else before? Seemed quite sudden (at least to me)

Rob had asked The Cure for the past 5 years and they had said no, I think constantly bugging them paid off and he got them booked.

Saying that, he's been bugging Dolly Parton to headline too..

Yeah, Bestival's good at being elusive and throwing curveballs. Got a ticket last year based on The Cure headlining; they're one of those bands that you know exist but don't tend to hear much about anymore, but when you look back at them, you know how great their music is. On the other hand, I was very disappointed by the second announcement of Pendulum but it came with a great undercard; and even though I don't really like Bjork, booking her was a great statement.

This year, expect much of the same. I mean, Jesus, look at what we have already. We've already got cone full of ice cream; we just need the flake and syrup to go along with it now.

The headliners suggested are just dull for anyone aged early 20s. Sorry.
