Bestival 2012 Headliners

I was speaking to someone the other night who claimed to know someone who works for Florence's management or whatever, and they said she was definitely headlining the Friday. Just passing it on.

Well seeing as 2manydjs are headlining the Big Top Friday (according to the bestival podcast) I'll definitely be in there as well.

What's the likelihood of Noel Gallagher headlining? As a solo artist, and with his current material it could be argued that his profile might not be big enough to headline one of the larger UK festivals at this moment in time (he may sub at one or two) so does Bestival give him the opportunity to do so at a 'smaller' event?

Noel's at Isle Of Wight in June, so that should rule him out.

I thought the same thing. Headliner announcement is Wednesday though right? And they surely they aren't big enough.

Does anyone know if/when the early bird tickets stop being sold? We are keen to go but there are a few logistical issues to deal with first. Ideally I want to get those issues resolved first (ferries, when to go, etc.) before I buy the tickets, but now at the risk of missing out completely. Not sure if they will stop the early bird tickets sales soon if a big announcement is imminent?

I reckon tickets will sell pretty quickly this year, the 'undercard' is looking amazing at the moment, without any headliners. And I suspect a lot of Glasto regulars, like me, will give it a go this year.

I was talking to Ryan from The Cribs the other day, asked what festivals they were playing and he said Reading and Leeds, think he said T aswell but I can't remember. Didn't mention Bestival but I didn't ask specifically.

he always says they're playing R/L. It doesn't always happen tho, so not a lot of faith can be placed in that.

I am going for Elbow as the Friday headliner, not sure about Sunday, whoever it is it is going to be a big ask following a band like Sigur Ros. Arcade Fire possibly? Maybe Prince?

I think last year she said that she would consider playing a festival. I'm sure that, along with Daft Punk, she's the first person RDB asks each year so you never know.

Oh, and I saw you up *way* after your bed time 2 or 3 years ago at Arcadia. Twas quite the sight.
