gazza_20
I like how he wants to make it about a fest and not an act(s) separately. But I also think, releasing all 3 headliners together wouldn't be that bad, or release as soon as you have the top 3/4 main and continue adding as you go. dirtymookie
The man takes a lot of shit but I got a lot of respect for him. Must be a daunting job tryin to please everyone all the time
Vieuphoria
He sounds like a decent guy. But he was talking nothing but shit when it comes to not releasing the lineup before the tickets. It's a bullshit system and he knows it. Hence why he avoided the question like the plague. Jacky Boy
More ale, splendid!
mrtourette
The ale was awful last year, although still better than Tuborg. Also I found the thing about the official forums being a good source of feedback amusing, the official forums are total shit, populated by arseholes and just slate FR all the time. PurpleFire
Hate that all the focus was on Reading! Leeds is always forgoten, but is much the better festival! Reading is NOT a festival if you can nip to tesco and its got a sound curfew! Get out there in the middle of nowhere and forget about normal life and home and luxurys and have a god dam good time in the middle of a field! PurpleFire
Im not fussed if we get coverage! If you wanted to see the bands and be involved you would go to the festival itself!
thesecretingredientiscrime
If you think about it logically, what would be the point of BBC Outside Broadcasting, who are owned by sub-contracted SIS based in MK and London, going all the way to Leeds, when they can go to Reading? It's also much easier to get the presenters they want to go to Reading, as they can get back to London on the same day if they wish. The positioning to London is pretty much a major reason why they go to Reading and not Leeds. I'd also guess at Reading having more facilities etc.
The Mean Bean
It's much more convenient to be slap bang next to a town and just down the road from London when you're a television crew, also I've never seen any evidence of the BBC being aware that anything much outside of the South East of England even exists, which is very odd for an organisation relocating to Salford. Anyways, I like what he said about it being more about the festival than the acts, ie. if T in the Park or V had Foos or Kasabian headlining I wouldn't even consider going, Leeds has them and I'm still going, long may this remain.
