jazz565
I'd like to see this lot playing somewhere in the tent (or on another stage) The Maccabees Manchester Orchestra Howler Band Of Horses Band Of Skulls Foals The Subways At The Drive In Dry The River Fleet Foxes Wild Beasts Tame Impala Minus The Bear Best Coast Black Rebel Motorcycle Club The All American Rejects Bon Iver Futures Local Natives Smith Westerns Tribes Looking back at it, if even just half of these played that'd be one hell of an NME stage! MrNovember
Foals, Best Coast, Beach Fossils, The Maccabees, Spector, Binary, Delphic (unlikely but hopeful), The War on Drugs, The Antlers, The Pains of Being Pure at Heart, Wu Lyf, Perfume Genius, Youth Lagoon, The Radio Dept. Gingetastico
I reckon that You Me At Six could headline the nme stage with a band like All Time Low (who have pretty much said theyre playing) subbing. Would be a good younger alternative if The Cure headline.

madday_
My guess is that Enter Shikari or C&S will headline with YM@6 subbing and ATL below them.
Dan R
you me at six are miles bigger than enter shikari. in fact, so are all time low. having atl/ymas sub enter shikari wouldn't make any sense. huntyyy
Enter Shikari have thousands of hardcore fans who will travel miles to see them every date on a tour.etc, while All time low and You me at six have Tens of thousands of casual fans who'll go to their gigs in their cities, and know maybe 5 out of 15 songs. Arguably yes, Enter shikari are a bigger band, but You me at six and All time low could sell out bigger venues because they have more fans. Neither could headline second stage at reading, Enter shikari could (although i'd put money on it being next year not this year, with them headlining NME at reading as the final date of their world tour, heading into studio late 2013 or something). Spaceboy
I notice The Charlatans are doing gigs in the summer playing Telling Stories in its entirety. They are signed up to play Isle of White aswell. Decent candidate for FR headliner i reckon. Other than that i would like to see Yuck and Grouplove return cos they were both excelent last year. Vieuphoria
The Charlatans would be interesting. But I imagine they'll be at V. Along with Stone Roses, Noel G, Happy Mondays etc etc

Banana Co
It's people that post stuff like this that shouldn't be let anywhere near music related forums. Jog on.
shoptildrop
Spoke to the lead singer from metronomy after the gig at the weekend and he said they were doing Leeds festival so not sure where these would go as suited to a tent tbh
JC-Mo'Fucka
This shikari/yma6/alltimelow argument is like a shiny turd competition.
Tolnai Soma
don't want to see emocore performances such like All Time Low and You Me At Six. I suspect they are playing on NME Stage. The Black Keys Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds Enter Shikari The Maccabees Band of Skulls Twin Atlantic Tribes Bon Iver Kaiser Chiefs Jack White But,they can also play at the Main Stage. Who knows.. but they will be playing in Reading.. I hope.
madday_
I based it on their recent/ upcoming tours. All Time Low were playing roughly the same size/ slightly bigger venues than ES on their tour, & their tour was something like 18 dates long, while enter shikari's is 5. They've both sold out their tours. You Me At Six are playing the SECC in glasgow, they're playing 16 dates on their upcoming tour and I'm pretty sure the majority of them are sold out. They all have fans that'll follow them over the whole country, doing their whole tours etc I don't think ATL/YMAS could headline the tent but I don't think they would sub ES either.
