Me and my girlfiend are heading to France, from Scotland, for Eurock this summer.

I was wondering if anyone could give us some tips for the festival and answer some questions we have.

1. How do we get to the festival site from Belfort?

2. What kind of weather can we expect?

3. What is the atmosphere like?

4. Is there alot of Brits that go to the festival, and will we struggle with language barriers ie do many people speak english?

5. What is there policy on alcohol, can you bring your own into the arena and campsite or do they have limits?

6. We noticed that there are only 15,000 spaces on the campsite but the festival has a much larger capacity than that. Will we struggle to get places or is it simply because not alot of people camp?

7. Do we need to carry our ticket all weekend or do they get swapped for wristbands?

Any other info would be greatly appreciated.

A few answers (with my froggy style, sorry for the future mistakes) :

1/ From Belfort railway station, there are free trains to the festival site (the old little train station located near the festival site is re-opened only during the festival time).

If you camp, there are free coaches between festival and camp site, or you can just walk, the camp site is not that far from the festival site.

2/ Sun ... or rain ... or both. Hard to guess

3/ Rather friendly. The festival crowd is rather young (I've read somewhere that 60% of the audience is under 25), but you'll find people from every age.

4/ I don't know, but you should find helpful people with typical french accents who will try to help you the best they can

5/ As far as I remember, you have to hide alcohol if you want to bring some on the festival site (bags are searched at the entrance gate). No problem on the camp site.

6/ If you arrive on friday, no problem : first come, first served. But don't worry, the camp site will be big enough to welcome you. By the way, the camp site is very often full of noisy young people, so don't expect to sleep that much (there are affordable hotels in Belfort if you want to sleep).

7/ A few years ago, there was a wristband for the camp site, and you had to keep your ticket all weekend (checked at the entrance gate each day). But it may have changed.

What is it like after the acts stop? I'm undecided between Eurockeennes and Rock En Seine and I've heard that Rock En Seine dies after midnight... Any/All information greatly appreciated.

What you heard about Rock en Seine is true.

Rock en Seine dies at midnight (after headliners shows).

Eurockeennes ends at around 3 am (last year's timetable : http://eurockeennes.fr/horaires.pdf), and if you camp, the party is not over.

That could be explained by the fact that Rock en Seine takes place in a park in a big city near Paris, whereas Eurockeennes takes place in a natural site in the middle of nowhere.

Yes his right on all the points , but don't compare the teenager rock en scène circus with the Eurock .... We talking about festival ? With root's spirit !

You Will be welcome @ Belfort , we used to see people from uk , germany , holland , or spain ...

Seems that some like to Follow théorie favorite Band on all the dates of their tour ( oasis , dépêche mode , rammstein ...)

What Will be the diff between other open air ? Less main stream and more surprise And thing to discover... Line up designers are good on thaïs topic ... Amy Winehouse was @ Eurocks when nobody Already Known her ... Idem for Muse Who openned the festival a friday at 4:00pm on the main stage in front of 500/1000 people Max ...

Côme And test ! You Will be able to play on a large Baby-foot , 20 people by side ...
