Great line up thread

I tought it deserved a mention that I think the line up this year is great. Chose Bestival this year for three reasons, no Glasto, Sigur Ros and the non music stuff. I haven't regretted my decision and really can't wait til September, especial when I read the dross that is the line up for t in the park and, I suspect v and reading as well. I only need a couple of great bands to have a great time, and it doesn't need to be headliners. I love line ups for the bands I haven't heard of, and I love listening to new stuff. FFS I can't be arsed to watch kasabian again. Nor stone roses. Give me Sigur Ros any day, truly awesome booking. And don't get me started on Gary Numan ans Bellowhead! Well done Betival, I really can't wait for September!

Bring on Arcadia again as well!

Yeah, I support this thread. I was attracted to this festival for the same reason. Rob always makes inspiring bookings, I mean, Sigur Ros, come on, best booking of 2012 IMO. Right off their hiatus and playing their only UK show, same with The XX. And I wont be surprised if we get some more insane additions. Including those two headliners we're still waiting for.

Can't wait!

I thought last year had an incredible line up, but for me, this year looks as though it is going to be even better, Sigur Ros, De La Soul, The XX, Adam Ant, Justice and Hot Chip are my most looking forward to, there is already too many to mention so far, where will i find the time to do other things if Rob continues giving us acts like this?

The line up is fantastic so far. If no-one else was announced then I'd still be over the moon. It shits all over the boring, generic line ups being pushed by the other fests. My last fest of tthe year is normally Leeds and has been since 99 but it's gor to a point where the acts I want to see are becoming few and far between and there's only so many shite NME bands you can watch before you get fed up. The Bestival line up is far more suited to me at the age I am (30).

Totally agreed. Lots of repeats from 2009, but I'm not complaining about the chance to see Major Lazer, Soulwax, 2manydjs, Buraka Som Sistema and The Horrors again. Plus Justice, Orbital, Nero, Sub Focus, Gary Numan, Adam Ant, The Japanese Popstars, Chas & Dave, etc etc etc!!!!

I look at my Bestival ticket (not literally; it won't arrive for months), and then I look at my Download ticket, and I wonder what I'm going to do for 3 days at Download: The Prodigy, Chase & Status, Soundgarden, and a whole lot of nothing in between. But Bestival's going to be 4 solid days of amazingness.
