server downtime / server upgrade

As there was record traffic on the forums on Sunday for the V festival announcement, an upgrade has just been ordered for one of the efests servers, which will help ensure bigger capacity on the busiest days (such as the forthcoming Reading/Leeds announcement), as well as improve the response speed on efestivals.

This planned upgrade has been brought forwards from later in the year following that record traffic.

I don't have a date and time for this upgrade as yet, although it should happen in the next few days. The upgrade will be scheduled to, as best as possible, avoid any major festival announcements.

The upgrade will cause efestivals to be offine and completely unavailable for a short time (should be less than 30 minutes) when it happens, so apologies in advance for that.

When I know when the upgrade is happening I'll post the details here.

a further server upgrade was carried out last night, in preparation for today's Reading & Leeds announcements.

Accessing efestivals tonight should be the easiest/smoothest it's yet been during an extremely busy time.
