eFestivals
It's definitely NOT Blur. I've had info come in overnight which clears that one up definitively. I'm pretty confident of having further info today to clear up Green Day one way or another. I expect that when the yanks wake up.
jump
Damm, I was looking forward to seeing Blur without New Order brining me down before hand.
Hart Attack
Thanks for the update. I know a lot of people will be disappointed by this, but as I'm not a fan I'm glad we won't have Blur taking up the final headline slot. Looking forward to the Green Day news; I'd love for it to be them, pretty much would be the best case scenario for me.
rexclark
Thank fuck for that. Purely from a selfish point of view, i'd be absolutely devastated if Blur played the first year I decided to give the festival a miss. I was really struggling to think how i'd get the cash together to get the cash together to see them. Hopefully they'll play next year though. A-Rob
Could it be The Cure as the final headliner ? Edited March 1, 2012 by A-Rob
JaHawk2009
Hoping for Green Day now. Would love it for them to be playing and it would be, in my eyes, best case scenario!

VCK
Gutted, but I guess it's for the best if I'm not getting a weekend ticket this year. Still, I had my hopes up. Hopefully they'll play next year then, and do Modern Life Is Rubbish in full for it's 20th Anniversary. Edited March 1, 2012 by VCK

Dan R
While I'd love to see blur, id say the cure are a better booking. They rarely play and you can never be sure how many chances you'll get to see legendary bands like them. While Blur I reckon will play next year on the back of their new album.

jump
Could the info Neil got orginally about Blur being a SR to headline actually be about 2013 as it wasn't clear which year it was?

rexclark
If Blur are still together next year there must be a fair chance of them doing R&L, the only other option would be V.
eFestivals
If Blur are still together next year there must be a fair chance of them doing R&L, the only other option would be V. from what Alex said on last night's top gear it sounds like the stuff they're doing this summer is planned as a one-off. I don't think that them doing anything more off the back of it is planned as things stand currently. Tho having said that, I suspect they might well be one of those bands who comes back together every now and then for a few more shows, especially as Damon's commercial success with his other projects is on the wane. eFestivals
The way he was talking he sounded pretty reluctant to be doing this one... I took it the other way around, that he's keen but one or more of the others less so. Maybe that's me reading too much between the lines, but the others have got other proper things with incomes going on in their lives, while Alex just has cheese.
