I'm off my tits with excitement here. It's just the Cure at their most raw... Just the songs and the band. Nothing more is needed. Incredible gig.

I'm getting the impression though that this year will have a slightly bigger stage show... Not talking a massively self indulgent fuck fest like a U2 gig... but now they're touring Europe fully i'd assume some more visual stuff will be placed in the background and such. Not that it's needed, but imagine it would be the case.

So pumped.

Can't stand Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me, far too much filler (Just Like Heaven aside - some girl gave me a copy of the 7" on white vinyl for giving her a lift home once, can't believe that was 25 years ago, jesus - great great song).

Seventeen Seconds, Three Imaginary Boys, Pornography and of course Disintegration are essential.

Staring At The Sea if you haven't got time for any proper albums.

Don't touch Mixed Up with a bargepole it's fucking dreadful.

The Cure In Orange is essential viewing also if you can track it down. I've only got it on a recorded VHS but it is so beautiful and atmospheric. Only Heima rivals it imho. Oh I wish I was 17 again.
