jump
If he could say he would of chucked them on the rumours page already, unless it's Florence.
eFestivals
Does that mean you know who are subbing the Foo's??? no, it means that I know that Bloc Party definitely aren't.

Calzum
God I hope so, would be so good, and they do fit nicely with the other 2 headliners
rug568
I can see them doing a new album then headlining next year.
gazza_20
You would have them under The Cure surely if they were? Do you have any info on them Neil or you just know they are not under Foo's? Also can you clear something up, someone said a while ago more than once that at least last time, maybe the time before as well that you had no confirmation about Bloc Party playing or you know, info that you have on others? Kobus
http://twitter.com/#!/TheJ_Russ Russell's tweets seem to be denying any questions about playing Reading, but you never know?

gazza_20
Yes they are, they also done a interview making up Kele was out the band and looking for a new singer, laughing while they had their joke.

PigOnAntibiotics
Indeed lying is lying. Doesn't matter who it was to, when it was, if they play, loads will be buzzing, if they don't. Others like myself will catch an arena show

JWC126
Any chance they're co-headlining with Kasabian?
mrtourette
Why would a genuine headliner like Kasabian agree to co-headline with a band who've never headlined before?
JWC126
Why would The Strokes or Pulp agree? Surely it's the same amount of money for Kasabian, and they're still headlining, no one looked at Strokes or Pulp last year as them both dropping down a level. Dan R
Both the Strokes Pulp have a history with the festival and I think FR wanted to give them a headline slot, while they may not be as big a draw as they used to, having them as a co-headline allowed them to do it. Plus Pulp were quite expensive from what I heard so were given a bigger slot than sub, as well as the fact the aren't available this year. Bloc Party will be around for the next few years at least, don't have a real reunion factor, and they're comeback could go either way. There doesn't seem any real need to give them a headline slot when there's already three big name headliners in place.

RichieParf
They've subbed to just about every other major band in their genre and haven't gotten any bigger since. Don't see why they'd mind doing one more.
Bisque
Despite not getting any bigger, R&L could give them the push to headline. They could have headlined Reading back in '09.
