The crowd was enormous at Glasto but you could tell he wasn't feeling well, as he cancelled some shows a few days later due to it.

I still a good boogie with the people around me to you can call me al in the gorgeous sunshine :)

Doubt it'd happen at R&L though

Paul Simon was pretty poor at Glastonbury last year. He was meant to be struggling with a sore throat, but to be honest I think if his voice was as good as he'd ever had it, then he would have still been poor. His voice wasn't the issue for me. His track selection and general attitude didn't cut it imo.

Thats based on the fact I'd seen him years before and he was awesome. Big let down.

Well Melvin an his cronies have been bleating on about how amazing the line up is.

So I hereby demand he sticks to his promises this year and am now expecting solo shows by Davies, Weller and Bowie. Plus a reunion of Screaming Trees under The Pixies on NME while Kasabian are boring the shit out of the kids on the main stage.

If I don't get this then I will refuse to drink your tepid Tuborg Melvin.

I wouldn't want a long-term Screaming Trees reunion, but the opportunity to hear him play the likes of Witness, Bed of Roses, Sworn and Broken, Caught Between, Beyond This Horizon, Butterfly, More or Less, Gospel Plow, All I Know.....

Hell, that'd be too good to pass up. I love his solo work, and the various other collaborations he's done, and I like that he's not constrained to just one band, but something like how he tours with Soulsavers occasionally to sing their songs, would be just fantastic.

Frankly, considering I've got a good 20, 25 albums he's had a major contribution to, I actually like it when I can narrow what he'll play down slightly...

Echoes my feelings precisely, one festival season touring as the trees again would be amazing. Does he ever play screaming trees songs in his solo gigs?

And if the trees wont get back together how about a Mad Season reunion with Mark Lanegan singing?

Unfortunatley Screaming Trees have done their reunion, Sweet Oblivion and Dust were abolute masterpieces and they were the most underrated American band of that era.

He has been playing Crawlspace, which comes from the Screaming Trees demos/rarities album that was released last year (apparently it's from recordings that were going to be for the follow-up to Dust).
