Announcement day nerves

Does anyone else get nervous on announcement day? I always seem to and I don't know why.

It's not like a possible outcome would be anything bad happening to me personally. And even if the line-up does end up being shit I usually pick out a couple of bands I'd like to see and find positives in it. Maybe it's excitement disguised as nerves, I don't know, but there's always this great feeling of tension and suspense.

Surely I'm not the only one? Or maybe I'm just a bit weird.

Me and my mates have a tradition of taking the day off and making a day of it, crack open the beers and predict our own line ups then when it's finally released we put together a playlist of bands we wanna see and have a little celebration - sad I know but really gets you into the mood ;)

To be fair that's pretty much what this forum revolves around all year. You see people proper get into their predictions on here, and have heated debates over whether Lostprophets would play 4th or 3rd and other meticulous stuff, when your average Reading and Leeds goer wouldn't even wonder if a band is too high or low.:lol:

Come 8PM tomorrow we'll have our first 2013 thread. :P

I took the afternoon off work once, only to find I didn't particularly like the lineup and none of my friends were up for it. Tbf I was due to finish at 7.30, but I won't make that mistake again.

There's a 2013 thread around anyway already isn't there?

Shitting myself. I already have my TITP ticket, and I was planning to go to Download and get my ticket whenever because they don't sell out straight away, then I found out the rumours of The Cure playing so I'm going to have to find out the lineup and half buy my ticket at the same time in case :c

This will be the 1st time I 've bought (or tried to) for Leeds- been once before but on a free ticket. So will be new experince- could of got tickets through Vodafone VIP but hasn't been 100% confirmed what day Cyre are playing so didn't want to risk a costly mistake

I get nervous cos I love Leeds fest so much and hate it when people I know dismiss it, so I kinda want it to appeal to me massively but I accept it satisficing and so other people are like 'woah, that's better than V/T'

Still would accept a ridiculously alt. line-up though

i used to get the excitement/nerves back in the years of 2006/7/8 when all my friends would go and we'd all be online at 7pm trying to get tickets and calling each other to type in card details for each other etc but everyone has moved on and doesn't care anymore but i still love it so much and plan to go this year for my 10th in a row. Reading 4 lyf
