jump
Do we think Jack White as a UK exclusive would be a good headliner? I think it would be perfect, and be something fresh. Him along with The Killers and Blur I feel would be a good set.
the wonderwhy
Biffy Noel Gallagher Dizzee Killers Mumford Yeah Yeah Yeahs Blur Bloc Party Jack White (I really hope The Who do festivals next year, can't see it being R&L though )
gazza_20
I'd have thought an older person would want stuff like Metallica, QOTSA, Placebo, Soundgarden, Garbage, Slash and Dinosaur Jr to be honest. I reckon that sort of mix with the newer stuff would be a good balance. What would you prefer, out of interest?

gazza_20
No I wouldn't rule out Biffy for Vfest, they have played it a few times before and I can easily see them getting a sub spot under someone like Muse or Foos. I also wouldn't rule them out for Bestival either.

Gravyshambles
I think The Killers which will be a shared headliner with T in the park, billed as an English exclusive.

she bangs the drums
I doubt Melvin has even booked all the headliners for next year yet.
gazza_20
Correct, he has booked two of the three headliners for next year as per an interview with the NME and the Stone Roses are not one of them. http://www.nme.com/n...one-roses/65789
MEGABOWL
Remember just because he's said it, doesn't mean it's true. If I was Melvin/Eavis, I'd do exactly what they do and tell everyone different things.

Mouseboy11
Me too. Biffy could quite easily sub it to be honest and more are leaning towards it. The Killers Mumford & Sons Placebo Blur Dizzee Rascal YYY's Pearl Jam Jack White Bloc Party For T. The Killers shared header, Muse, Lady GaGa Biffy, Jack White and Mumford as subs. don't sound too bad a chance?
gazza_20
That Sunday is just marvelous. Although I don't see Bloc Party playing third.

MJMilz14
In that scrambled mess of a paragraph, I think there is a suggestion of Jack White headlining Glastonbury as a solo artist. If so... no chance, ever.
Mouseboy11
I never like the idea of solo artists headlining fests, not sure why.

jump
The likes of Paul Mccartney, Bruce Springsteen, Neil Young, Stevie Wonder, Jay-Z, and Eminem have done alright. Don't seem to have many at Reading, mind you
gazza_20
Eminem was 'orrid at Reading, just below Red Hot Chili Peppers & Stone Roses for worst headliner ever,
