Going to Reading/Leeds is largely dependent on a strong line-up now-a-days, or one stand out band I don't think I would likely see elsewhere. Blur might do it for me, but their set at Glasto was pretty much the best gig I have ever seen and i just don't see how they would ever top it, so not sure I would go on the strength of them alone. To be honest there are few bands left that I havn't seen that would make me want to part £200 on the basis of just them, but I probably thought this last year before they booked The Cure so we'll see

I'd be surprised if they booked all their bands already as they would probably want to keep some options open in case a unexpected band becomes available.

Not my dream scenario but what I feel is realistic...

Top 3 Main Stage Acts each day:

The Killers

Mumford & Sons

Frank Turner

Biffy Clyro

Bloc Party

Weezer

Metallica

Prodigy

Soundgarden

NME Headliners

Jack White

Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds

Seems to be one dance/electronic headliner these days so I'll say Skrillex if he's still popular, otherwise Manics would be great

Some acts who will be repeated from this year (as plenty always are):

Probably an incredibly unlikely lineup (and will be shunned by most of the forum as predominantly shit), but this main stage lineup would be perfect for me-

Friday-

Arctic Monkeys

Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds

Manic Street Preachers

The Fratellis

Frank Turner

The Enemy

The View

The Proclaimers

Spector

Saturday-

The Killers

Mumford & Sons

Elbow

Franz Ferdinand

Madness

Dodgy

The Automatic

Howler

Sunday-

The Kinks (Ray, Dave and the Kastoff Kinks reuniting)

Snow Patrol

Stereophonics

The Specials

Don McClean

The Kooks

Kids In Glass Houses

Miles Kane

Razorlight

Don't think You Me At Six will be back, sadly - the show they're doing at Wembley is the 'Final Night Of Sin', ie. the last show they're doing in support of Sinners Never Sleep. Presumably they'll be off to work on a new album after that, so unless that's out by the summer it seems unlikely that they'll be back at Reading next year.

But then Foo Fighters said Reading was the last show of the tour and the last show for a long time, before promptly announcing a gig on 5th September two days afterwards :P. I wouldn't rule it out, several bands have been away working on albums (Joy Formidable, Paramore etc) but popped out just for R&L.
