kaosmark2
I didn't think he was being abusive at all. I took it as a light hearted comment. If it wasn't and it was abusive then that's a bit poo, but it's an internet forum, I'm not gunna get worked up about it :L when discussing music, there's always going to be disagreements. Andre91
If I'm ever abusive, I at least try to be abusive in an entertaining way rather than actually winding people up. Unless someone disses Joy Division. I've got no time for that sort of moronic tasteless c**t. My language will become the equivalent of ripping my shirt off and beating them until they're just a messy glob on the floor.

Lewis Cato
A relatively inexpensive line-up but I think one which would really please crowds; although booking Enter Shikari again does seem nonsensical they do have a big fanbase at Reading and I reckon letting them headline NME will not only satisfy their following but also be a relief to those who've got a little sick of them over the past 5 years. I'll be honest that Depeche Mode is a bit of a risk but at least it would be an interesting booking; and considering their last festival appearance was 2006 at Wireless I think it'd be quite a refreshing choice. Vieuphoria
Depeche Mode would be incredibly interesting. I'd enjoy it but I think there is a zero percent chance of it happening. Don't really have the cross over appeal

Lewis Cato
Yeah I agree Bestival would probably be a better festival for Depeche Mode; I disagree with the DM/Skrillex clash issue though as I don't think there'd be that much crossover of audiences between the acts, in fact it's sort of similar to The Cure/Maccabees clash this year with both acts being of essentially the same genre but of different generations, and from what I've seen that hasn't been a big issue. I get your argument about the two dancey electronic headliners; but they're so different as acts I'm not sure if I entirely agree. To be entirely honest Depeche Mode was the only headliner I could think of which wasn't The Stone Roses. Mouseboy11
On what basis wouldn't they headline? They've just sold out another arena tour.
Vieuphoria
They just aren't the right band.
Hart Attack
It's not that they aren't big enough, they're just not the type of band you get at Reading these days. Just like you don't see bands like Alter Bridge, Evanescence, Stone Sour etc. getting booked. A real shame, because all of these bands are great and would add a new dimension to the line-up. Sadly it looks like they'll be confined to Download for the foreseeable future.
jump
Selling out arena doesn't equal headliner, look at Bullet playing 4th but tour arena and The Cure who can't manage a full arena tour. Nickleback are big enough but aren't right, look at Soni having KISS & Queen with fella from karaoke tv flopping.
