But Eminem hadnt won his oscar at the time he headlined, so maybe Trent would be the first if they ever headlined.

Edit. Same goes for Genesis aswell Phil Collins hadnt won an oscar at the time they headlined either

I like how far ahead we're getting. Considering NIN haven't even mentioned plans to return as a touring band again and won't for a while, they'd probably spend a year or two stateside first, and there's plenty of other bands that will headline in the interim.....

Not yet!

But you know what this forums like the more people talk about it the more they think it will happen.

Blur for example, people thinking it was going to sell out straight away etc etc. Cant see why people think nin would headline though, they were nowhere near headlining when they split, but saying that pulp were not either. The smiths will never reform, But everyone said that a year or so ago.

They subbed R/L and put on the performance of the weekend. The following year they sold out an arena tour and subbed only Metallica at Soni. On top of that, reunions tend to ramp up excitement and popularity as it's been a lot longer since people had a chance to see them.

And I don't reckon NIN will reform for a few years yet, and the music scene will have changed during that time, and I expect a lot of that will include the decline of popularity of guitar music and festivals.

And the Smiths, thankfully, will never reform.
