Apart from the shit/wrong reforms like Sublime the only thing that piss me off about them is the all the younglings who suddenly become fans despite having not having heard of them 2/3 months ago and making it harder to get tixs and chatting shit about the 1 song they know.

I remember when I saw the Sex Pistols a pair of girls who only went because Sex Pistols are name got all excited as they found out The Cribs were supporting them on the night. It's weird, when they saw the Cribs logo on the stage they started giggling and jumping up and down which was the most movement I saw from them all night.

Why is it bad for people to get into a band once they hear they've reformed? I personally had never heard anything by Refused (other than New Noise which was on a game i think) but I've barely been able to stop listening to shape of punk to come. Same thing happened with Pulp last year. I get that it's annoying that people get tickets to bands to only hear their big hit or to say they've seen them, but I'll quite often head to gigs by acts I don't really know cause I base my opinions of a band more on their performance than records.

famous band. Would any of us pass up the chance to see Led Zep (etc). Band are put on pedestals way too much. Just because a band aren't who they used to be, doesn't mean they aren't playing the same music. Bands are just bands, that is all. Nothing more. If a band reunites (no matter how big or small the band are) there will always be an audience for it (no matter how big or small). A band don't have to be the same exact people they were first time round. Some times it takes time away for a band to renew themselves and put on a better show. Pulp, Blur, Refused etc

Edit: Although the above still stands, I've realised you may be on about the people not being the same. If you are, it often has a big impact. Look at bands like The Cure who arguably can't play some of the best bits of their catalogue because they've lost members. Babyshambles is also a very good example.

I don't think there is much of a difference. A band is still a band and a reunion is solely up to the band, for whatever reason they may have.

Yeah but even if it is for the money, I don't see why anyone is loosing out. Fans get to see them again, new generation of fans get to see a band, promoters make a huge load, band get a boost in fans, money and record sales. I honestly don't see the crime in it.
