Vacant0
Any chance of Slash being booked for next year? Headlining the 2nd stage at DL this year, where abouts do you think he would play at R&L? 3rd/4th down?

sjseabass
When do the headliners get booked do we reckon? Some time in the summer the year before? Only I think Bloc Party headlining next year is entirely dependent on the success of their next album, which is looking like it won't be out until the autumn. Would they be booked anyway in the hope it's massive? Could backfire like MCR (arguably) did - if Killjoys had been as successful as Black Parade there would have been fewer complaints... Ideally they'd want some sort of 'sub if album is middling, headline if it's great' deal but I don't see how that would work, really. rug568
Thinking about future years: 2013: Biffy Clyro Bloc Party Blur 2014: The Prodigy The Killers The Stone Roses 2015: Elbow Arctic Monkeys Metallica
sjseabass
I can't see Stone Roses will be still around by 2014. I think they would do well to get to 2013 without imploding. I don't think Elbow will ever reach headline status at R/L. I think they could do it at glasto, but never at r/l.
Babyquack
Thinking about future years: 2013: Biffy Clyro Bloc Party Blur 2014: The Prodigy The Killers The Stone Roses 2015: Elbow Arctic Monkeys Metallica Bloc Party and The Killers are interchangeable. And if The Libertines reform I'd slot them in for Bloc Party, on either year. If The Stone Roses don't last till then, move Metallica to 2014 and swap The Prodigy for The Black Keys. I've thought this through too much, I know. It's a miserable day. Also, I hope White Lies to be headlining by around 2015

Gucci Piggy
I wish I hadn't started this now, because TDCC being predicted for 2014 pains me, a lot.

gazza_20
I agree with both those points. My guess would be: 2013 Biffy Clyro The Prodigy The Stone Roses 2014 The Killers Someone getting the push - Two Door Cinema Club / Vaccines / Black Keys Metallica 2015 Someone else getting the push - might not even be anywhere near headlining anything at the moment Radiohead Oasis, maybe? Probably more like for V, though
Gucci Piggy
Why? fantastic band, if there second album does well they will be high main stage 2014.
gazza_20
Just really don't like them to be honest. I'd much rather The Black Keys or The Vaccines from that prediction.

Martino231
No, the NME announcement was meant to be tomorrow but there was a cock-up and it got announced last week instead. FR won't be announced for another few months yet, as they want to book the most current and relevant acts they can apparently, so leave til the last minute.
