Jane's Addiction are playing Nothing's Shocking in full at O2 Academy Brixton and Manchester Apollo... on 20th and 21st August.

Sweet. Cheers for the info.

EDIT: Tickets are £46.20!!?! However much I would love to go, at that price I just can't afford it. :(

Considering several years ago I got to see NIN, JA and Mew for just over half that per gig that seems ridiculous.

I really wanted to see Violent Femmes at Troxy but their tickets cost about as much

Bloody Generation X'ers with their adulthood and disposable income

Yeah, I just can't justify that price + travel to London. I'm really gutted though, I love Violent Femmes :(

You can see why, as they hardly tour the UK but on top of that the travel and it being in festival season, it is ridiculous. It's a shame not many bands give a crap about the cost of tickets anymore and the ones that did (e.g. Pearl Jam to name just one) clearly don't anymore.

It's almost like it's not up to them.

the sarcastic comments are coming full force today aren't they. Is it not up to them just a little? Sure there's expenses but there must be a wide gap of profit in it for them that is solely up to them how much they make it be surely?

I actually don't know but I just assumed that the pricing of tickets and festivals was due to escalating costs and margins rather than greedier bands.

Yeah the ticket prices aren't really down to them. They can refuse to play (Pearl Jam or someone started doing that at some point?) but they're not going to do that now as the money is all in live shows.

There are some bands who try and get booking fees & stuff down, I think Frank Turner did that for his last tour.

Not at all, gig prices are mostly used to cover the basic expenses like, hell, producing the tickets, and hiring staff to man the gig
