Die Antwoord were just insane. I had such a good time. Was totally blown away by how good they were.

Overall I had a fantastic weekend, the best year for me out of the five I have been going. Weather at Leeds turned out to be alright, and I saw so many more bands than I expected to. For the first time too I saw someone on every stage. Can't wait until next year already.

Baby Godzilla 10/10 (Deffo spotted Yellow)

fucks sake hahahaha

I was getting really pissed off at how money grabbing the vendors were being this weekend actually. Paying for a cup? An empty fucking cup? £2.20 for a bottle of water? No water taps at the bars? Fucking ridiculous. A festival right at the end of Summer shouldn't have such draconian procedures with just HYDRATION.

Surprised that the Arctic Monkeys are getting so much hate I thought they absolutely smashed it, I've seen them three times and last night was the best one. It was like the old days, they seemed to be genuinely loving being up there and 'When the Sun Goes Down' was really special as it came so out of the blue.

Just got back. Pretty hellish getting out in the downpour this morning but overall a decent weekend.

Friday definitely the best day. Queens blew me away, they were even better than when on tour last year. Shame they were given such a criminally short set. Both them and Paramore (who I thought dealt with the sound problems incredibly well) put on fun, headliner worthy sets so I hope they both get the chance to headline again properly in the future (not that I'd go and see Paramore again but they clearly have the fanbase for it.)

Arctics were rubbish. Setlist was crap, they had NO energy and I'm pretty sure Alex was on something. Plus they kept fucking around between songs which just got annoying. Crowd in the front section was ridiculous and full of dicks so I went back a section (as Yellow has mentioned they've changed the layout) and they were struggling to get the crowd going back there.

Sunday was pretty naff really. Mongol Horde and Gogol Bordello were fantastic in the evening put I was pretty disappointed with The Horrors, particularly when someone decided to start the worlds worst mosh pit to Who Can Say.

I was camped in White and had a wicked time over there. Met some great people, even a big group of 16 year olds that had just done their GCSEs and were actually there to have a good time rather than piss people off. The bar over there is great in the evenings too. That said, once I got over the bridge the place was just full of shit people who don't know how to handle alcohol or drugs. I'm sure the average age keeps getting lower and lower.

What a weekend. The best Leeds Festival I've been to. Saw loads of bands each day. Sunday was the best day for me personally, it was a perfect end to the festival. Here's my Top 10 of the weekend:

1. Don Broco- Perfect. I'm a massive fan so I'm probably biased, but they smashed it. Crowd was great and the band seemed to be having a ball. Perfect festival set.

2. Die Antwoord- I can't even describe them, other than surprisingly brilliant. They're a couple of absolute fruitcakes, but they put on an incredible live show.

3. Paramore- I thought they pulled off the headline set really well. Great setlist, great live sound and the crowd was really passionate. After seeing them three times previously and always considering them underwhelming, they were the best I've ever seen them. I'm happy for them.

4. A Day To Remember- Awesome. Mental crowd, great set.

5. Arctic Monkeys- Was a bit sceptical after seeing their TITP performance, but they pulled off a great show last night. Nice to see them include When The Sun Goes Down, everyone went into a different gear when they started playing that. They also had the biggest crowd I've ever seen in five years of going to Leeds, but that's no surprise.

6. Crossfaith- Possibly the best metal band I've seen live. They really do deserve the reputation they have started picking up for being an unbelievable live band. The wall of death for Countdown To Hell was the coolest thing I've ever been involved in whilst in a crowd.

7. Vampire Weekend- The sun came out! Utterly brilliant, a good bit of fun. Also pulled a really big crowd. Could definitely see them back again in future.

8. Royal Blood- Felt like I was witnessing something genuinely special. That's all I can say.

9. Bombay Bicycle Club- Much like Vampire Weekend, they were great fun. The band were clearly loving it. Would like to see them sub the main stage the next time they play. A perfect band to wind down the festival.

10. Queens Of The Stone Age- Absolutely nailed it. I only really know the hits, but had a great time. They've established themselves as headliners for years to come now imo.

Special mention for Drenge who were the surprise of the weekend for me. I didn't plan on seeing them but I stuck around after La Dispute and I was blown away by them. Loved it. Another band who are only going to get bigger and bigger.

Yeah I camped in white this year too, could not handle the various array of c**ts just there for the dance tent. Sad to say I know the pricks who started that huge fire in purple last night.

And what is it with people starting mosh pits all the time? Some people attempted to during Make It Wit Chu which really got on my nerves.

.

The Horrors got a disappointingly small crowd - The Kooks had the tent overfilling but all the way during The Horrors you could get damn close to the stage if you wanted and only about half the crowd were dancing :(

Seemed like a lot of people were just there do get a good spot for the 1975 after.

I'm officially home now, the rain whilst walking out the campsite kinda shitted on my weekend abit.

Friday was great, Queens were just spectacular... I wish I could relive it again, Paramore were fantastic as well and i'm not ashamed to admit. Drenge disappointed me if i'm honest... Gerard Way was crap
Vampire weekend were standard, but a good sing along, I guess it was good for a first night. Twin Atlantic were the best bar Queens of The Stone Age.

Saturday was my favourite day, Royal Blood were absolutely incredible, felt like I was watching a headlining band in their earlier stages. Cage the Elephant and Hives were fantastic and I needed to somehow see both so that involved alot of running. Foster the people were awful and shockingly had a tiny crowd that couldn't give a shit, Imagine Dragons proved again they are better live than on record. Chvrches, Bombay all good. Arctics were okay, i've seen them better. But the setlist was shit better than T.

Sunday, I must admit I was feeling abit destroyed and kinda wanted it to be over if i'm honest. Sunday was a really poorly put together day and was very light on the acts to see. Disclosure were good, and a good close to the weekend. But the best act of sunday was definitely the 1975. Matt Healy is a frontman, and it really looked like they wanted to be there and put the best show possible. I saw two songs of blink before going off to disclosure and thought nothing of them. Macklemore was abit of fun, left after can't hold us.

Overall good weekend, want to go next year... but maybe do things a little differently and not camp with people doing ridiculous amounts of substances every night.

Had an amazing weekend at my first ever festival and ended up seeing 27 acts which isn't bad going although it was tremendously tiring. For me Friday was the best day but I enjoyed Saturday and Sunday as well. My top three personally were Queens, Royal Blood and The Hives: all three were insanely good. I even enjoyed Blink who I thought sounded brilliant. I camped in Green really close to the arena and had no problems whatsoever throughout the weekend.

Macklemore that bad? I heard it was good fun.

I'd wager most moshpits at R+L now are just started by people thinking 'wheyyy moshpitsss' and pushing their mates or something, hence why you get them at stuff like Clean Bandit. Not that they're not allowed to.

exactly, most mosh pits were complete jokes all weekend.

Enter Shikari had the best pits by far.

Macklemore was fun
