Something says they won't but if IOW got Biffy Clyro, Arctic Monkeys and Muse/Mumford next year, they've done well.

This is partly why I am suspicious over Mumford playing IOW, as it would either put them on an own big show next year or an arena tour (already doing), they done have a history of sharing with V, they do with T but they are there this year.

They'd be sharing Biffy with T (in my imagination)

well when someone says about a band being talked about in here as easy guesses for fests including iow and bands which are possible for both, that's why?

there is no set pattern wether in a R&L thread or not that every band you talk about will headline this festival, there is more than one UK festival bands can play.

agree with you, I think the 3 of IOW, T and V will all try. I've thought IOW for ages though, it's away from any of their arena or outdoor shows this year.

Stone Roses have new material on the way though, they're just being lazy about it.

I think when Blur don't do R+L when they're around Europe at the time playing numerous festivals and no British shows and don't get booked, then I think it's time to give up hope. Whether it's them not being approached because of what FR want to do with the festival, or Blur rejecting it, who knows.

The Killers played, a massive hyde park show, two v festival shows, their own uk arena tour and now wembley stadium. new album maybe but do you think the killers with a new album will sell better at reading than blur without one, just turning up to play after not playing a uk big gig since august 12 on a exclusive? They could put some euro fests on again but how massive would that be, the only place inside of europe to see Blur is R&L doing a 20th Anniversary Parklife show, and I didn't even know about that anniversary until today.

The Killers are in the middle of touring their latest album so what the fuck does that have to do with the likely hood of Blur playing next year? Oh right, nothing what so ever. You're just a bull shit muncher who doesn't know what the frig he's talking about.

I never said they NEEDED new material to tour, I said they'd want to have it. Damon Albarn is the sort of guy who's making music all the time, much like Thom Yorke. I see no reason to suggest that Blur will tour Europe for a third summer doing the same greatest hits setlist over & over again. It just ain't Damon's style.
