You don't reckon R&L will book Monkeys next year? I can see them doing a tour the size of Biffy's, but maybe earlier in next year, or late this year, so it will have been a fair few months since anyone would have seen them.

Unless they do the rounds with a couple out of T, V, IOW, maybe even Oxegen if it's on in 2014?

Arctics have done the first half of the summer this year, so I reckon they'll do the second half next year, Sziget, Pukkelpop, Rock En Seine and all that, which plays nicely into R&L's hands

I think FR would much rather go with them than Mumford, Arctics seemed to be the band that the facebook/twitter lot wanted the most this year.

And yeah, I'd put money on them doing arenas this autumn/winter

I think R&L will go for them, but I think they'll do IOW instead, along with T. It reeks of The Killers' situation this year, never played IOW, probably done V a bit too recently to be there again, so I think IOW will go all out for them.

Only difference between them and The Killers is I was hoping to God The Killers would play IOW, whereas I hope Arctic Monkeys play R&L.

Yeah and Mumford were the band the facebook/twitter lot wanted second most this year, maybe they'll pull a Glasto and book them both, but I can see that being very very expensive

Vampire Weekend aren't big enough to sub. Their new album would have to be huge.

Edit: Bear in mind that at this point last year no one had a clue who Jake Bugg was. A lot can change by 2014. There could easily be an act like Edward Sharpe having a massive surge in popularity.

Maybe it's cause people expected more of RHCP, whereas Arctics were still pretty young lads new to it, only a couple of years in the 'music business', people put it down to lack of experience, which is something RHCP should have tons of

Because it's what I believe. I don't know many people who don't like them. I could probably count that number on one hand
