He's right. Maybe not the hour, but assuming the rest of the day wasn't full of Black Veil Brides, it would go very fast.

There's been some good points made, but I think you need to narrow it down a bit, and say there's very few acts who would play R&L, who are bigger with the demographic.

They'll hear Arctic Monkeys have been announced and head straight to Ticketmaster.

I think the three 'best sellers' R&L could book are Mumfords, Arctics and Foo Fighters. Followed by Blur & The Stone Roses.

Arctics would still take a month or so to sell day tickets, but there's no doubting that there popularity among R&L goers means they'd be able to shift tickets relatively easily.

It isn't rubbish, have you seen how mental people go for them? They are probably, in my opinion, the most popular active band in the UK and possibly even Europe right now. They're probably more popular with the R&L demographic than Muse and Foo's put together, you don't see thousands of people on Facebook and Twitter requesting for Muse and Foo's year in year out, you see them asking for Monkeys

That's fair enough. If we look at it from a purely business perspective and ask why Arctics would be booked when RHCP are unlikely to be as you did earlier, the fact is in this country, Arctics are bigger ticket sellers. Now that's a general statement, but when you add on to that the idea that Arctics have a fanbase much more open to R&L than RHCP do, you can see why it would happen.

Arctic Monkeys are certainly more popular amongst the average R&L goer than Muse, I'd say they're possibly on par with Foo Fighters, people love Dave Grohl for some reason.

Either way I'd say Arctic Monkeys are the biggest (realistic) band they could get next year & I'm pretty sure they'd sell a lot of day tickets, but every year it seems people make bold claims "Muse" "Foo Fighters" "the Cure" "Eminem" have all been "guaranteed" by people on here to sell out day tickets , the reality I think was slightly different...
