You listened to holes early records or just the stuff of celebrity skin?

One of my favorite ever sets was hers at glastonbury 1999, pure inspiration! When you think the stick she gets of the kurt cobain crowd, it takes massive balls to get on any stage never mind infront of 50 thousand people.

People have basically destroyed her for cobain shooting himself. The love of her life killed himslef and she was blamed for it all, she wasnt equipped to deal with it and has been on a downward spiral ever since.

All about opinions, and yes it was all about kurt! All the conspiracy theories going around when cobain killed himself were out of control.

Which grohl took great delight in stirring up aswel, when you think grohl was only a bit part of nirvana and not even there from the star he needs to crane his neck back in.

cobains death is a central part of why courtney loves career has nosedived and why grohls career has gone from one high to another. Its obvious courtney is in love with cobain and is screwed by it and grohl basically uses the nirvana legacey when he wants something out of it.

no live through this had better album sales.

Celebrity was the commercial lets be famous record, John peel was a fan of hole especially there early stuff. LIke I said it went a bit pear shaped for courtney after cobains death, she came accross a bit of a caricature of herself and went on a downhill spiral. She just was not equipped to deal with it all from growing up in a commune, going to reform school and being a schoolgirl stripper.

I genuinely feel sorry for her and just want to give a great big cuddle and say it will be alright lol...

Hole were a fantastic band. Live Through This is a fantastic piece of post-riot-grrrl grunge. Celebrity Skin is also a superb 90's alt rock album, Malibu is a great song. Courtney is one of the best female frontwomen of all time. She is a total douche. But she is great at what she does.

I saw Hole at Brixton academy. They played for hours. I had to leave before the last few songs just to get transport home in time. She really went all out. But it wasn't 'Hole'. It was a Courtney Love show. The way she acted, and the aura it gave off just was blatant that it was Courtney Love singing Hole. Which I didn't mind as much because she is the epitome of a good front-lady.

But a proper Hole reunion I would be 100% up for. Her, Melissa, Eric and Patty would be superb. It happened recently so it shows that it could still happen. But it's clear Courtney used the Hole reunion to boost her own star, and to allow her to rule the stage on her own. So clearly a complete self serving douchebag.... but a great frontwoman.

Courtney Love is clearly an unwell woman who has become open season for abuse from just about anybody who wants to have a pop, that really makes me sick. She was pretty messed up before her young husband killed himself, that's a massive hit to take, then for a hell of a lot of people to vilify her for it and go as far as accusing her of having done it is disgusting. People think Courtney is mental, I'm surprised she's held up as well as she has, if I'd gone through half the shit she has I would have put a fucking shotgun in my mouth years ago. It's not big or clever to make fun of her, it's the hallmark of pathetic journalists playing the same old tired shit in a bid to get readers and unoriginal morons who barely know what they're on about.

Coachella style Kurt Cobain Hologram???

I know this wont happen, but it raises the point that it might happen in the future. And the prospect of all dead/old rock stars performing or being a special guest at future concerts. Kurt would probably have hated the idea, however when you think the Tupac hologram is quite controversial with rap fans, its not really that much different with Kurt Cobain.

I don't see the hologram catching on, one or two people will jump on the bandwagon, before long it'll gain a huge stigma as a complete gimmick and no self-respecting artist will ever use one again. Notice I only included self-respecting artists, so it's a good bet Brian May will wheel a Freddie Mercury hologram around, killing festivals wherever he goes.

I don't quite understand why a 'self-respecting' artist wouldn't do it? I don't see the issue with it. If there is a demand, then it should be met. It gives people a chance to see a band that they would never get the chance to see. It's as near as you'll get. It's no different than experiencing things through the medium of film really. Plus the technology involved is kind of astounding. I would be tempted by it, just out of sheer curiosity.
