Motley Crue are set to go out on a co-headlining tour with Kiss in the US this summer. I am just thinking/hoping that they could be the Friday special guests under Kiss!

I actually hope not, the top of the bill looks a little too old-school as it is.

Think the special guests slot would be better filled by a more contrasting band to add more variety to the bill, y'know, like a Machine Head or KSE or someone.

(Not specifically saying those particular bands, just someone like 'em)

Possible but I don't see a reason to not announce them right now.

The article explicitly says there though that Motley Crue are touring Europe in June - not July, their US tour starts in July although the first dates is the week after Sonisphere so I reckon it's still possible. I think they've always been a likely candidate, but at the same time, if it was them, why not announce them now? MC started announcing their EU tour dates away back in November, so I can't see them holding up the announcement.

As for the price tag, I think it's more just to exploit the Kiss army types. It's their only show in Europe this summer, and considering they're meant to have new material and a new stag show that's meant to be their biggest and best yet, you'll get a lot of people travelling all over Europe to see that.
