Surveys section

As students keep sticking them either in the discussions forum or in several different festival forums, can we please have a dedicated section for surveys? That way the people inclined to fill them out can look there to do so, and they don't get in the way generally.

Maybe it's a bit of a ridiculous idea, but it's getting quite tedious...

I've thought about a surveys section, but as some surveys are tailored to a particular festival then it doesn't work fantastically for all surveys.

I've thought about banning them completely. I've thought about charging. But in the end I've decided that I'll permit just one survey post for any survey.

Lots of people spam their surveys right across the forums. In those instances I delete all but the first one they posted (on the basis that where they posted first is most likely to be in the place they feel is most suited to their survey).

If the person then comes back and spams again, then it's very likely that all of their posted will be deleted, so they get no publicity for their survey at all.

I generally don't bother to contact the people who do spam, because they should know better than to spam (so hopefully the reason why their posts have been deleted should click with them), but mainly because nearly everyone thinks their survey is special and they should be the exception to the rule and be allowed to spam, and the arguments are tedious. In general they won't accept reasoned argument for why they should be treated the same as everyone else, and that they don't have a 'right' (sometimes 'human right') to post what they like here, or that that these forums are for festival goers to discuss festivals and not just be cluttered with endless surveys.
