I seem to remember this same sort of negativity directed at My Chemical Romance last year, and they went on to steal the show as one of the best bands of the festival. Admittedly Paramore were mediocre last time (although I still enjoyed the hell out of them, kinda difficult not to when you're really drunk and watching one of your favourite bands), but on the three other occasions I've seen them, they've been great. I think if people try to keep an open mind, they might end up being pleasantly surprised...

Itll push them back into the spotlight through the summer if its a big hit and gets alot of attention.

Im on the fence over Paramore, i dont dislike them but dont love them and tbh will likely spend my evening in the NME tent so them playing isnt a major concern to me.

Have to agree with you there, Paramore and blink obviously have some crossover and they were very much a buzz band in 2010, can't imagine many of their preteen girl fan base enjoys/has even heard of The Cure

Never said that i dislike Paramore, on the contrary, i said i enjoyed them at Reading 2010, hence posting the video

And yeah obviously i didn't mean that every single Paramore fan in the world hasn't heard of the Cure it was obviously an exaggeration so don't take it so literally

Back to the point, i think we can agree that generally speaking, big fans of paramore are much more likely to also like Blink than the Cure

Just a singer who can actually carry out what they've put on record is fine. I think you'll find its the chart shite that mostly need help with the vocals.
