Dog Burger
Sage Francis, if you don't know him a rapper, performance poet, hip-hop artist and owner of Strange Famous Records, has been my favourite artist/musician whatever, for around 10 years now. He's been over to the UK two or three times in that period, but has never to my knowledge played a UK festival. Words can't describe how excited I am by this event. He's brining his friend and label mate B Dolan (also really cool, check out his album Fallen House, Sunken City if you're interested) with him, and Strange Famous have signed the less cerebral but along the right lines Scroobius Pip in America - Sage features on his track Let 'em Come. If you're into intelligent, political, emotive hip-hop don't miss this. Here's a couple of youtube clips for those who are interested. coma girl
I've heard him played on the radio a little but never listened to him properly, will need to remedy that. Really like Let em Come

Vanderlyle
Already enjoying. There's a nice array of alternative hip-hop on the line-up already. I hope to see one of the 'big names' of US hip-hop to supplement it on main stages. A hip-hop gig isn't something I would normally go to (have been to a few... Snoop... Sway) so I really enjoy the festival gigs - Public Enemy last year at Bestival, Scroobius Pip, Jay Z at Glasto, Wu-Tan Clan at Glaso etc. Except for the fact that the crowd is often a bit lost....
