So this morning I woke up ridiculously excited for Bestival and watching the Stevie Wonder video took me back to last year. It was my first ever Bestival experience and I loved every minute of it especially the design of all the stages. But my favourite memory is probably finally seeing Carte Blanche, the tent was a bit empty but it was absolutely amazing, they were so happy and put on an absolutely amazing show. My friend had never heard of them before and he was blown away especially because of how much the looked liked they were enjoying it.

As I said everything was amazing but the only thing that could come close to topping that was Erol Alkan, especially when he dropped his Metronomy Bay remix, it was mine and my friends favourite song of that summer and all of us had massive grins on our faces it was ace!

What are your favourite moments at the festival??

Far too many, and I've only been once!

Boys Noize, dancing like a mad man, then he played 'Yeah!' which is my ultimate favourite song of his, and that was so amazing. I have goosebumps thinking about it. That whole Friday night was pretty amazing.

The fireworks and balloons, I got split up from my pals and thought I'd head up to the magic meadow to see the fireworks properly, and they were incredible, and there were tons of balloons with confetti in them that I got lost in. But those fireworks, so amazing.

Bjork playing Joga was pretty breathtaking. Public Enemy's set was a highlight, nothing funnier than seeing a bunch of white people fighting the power. The ambient Forest was awesome, it's great how peaceful it was, knowing you could just walk down into the big top and have a huge dance 'rave' whatever. So many things to do.

I'd have a much bigger list, but I can't rememeber bits, and I felt I was going to collapse all weekend.

The drive home was funny, I laughed at everything hysterically for about 5 hours, because I was so tired and had mixed emotions.

The Friday night run Chromeo onwards, such a good night. I don't even really like Pendulum that much but nothing could spoil the atmosphere for me. Rob is a genius in the way he places acts on the main stage I think which seems so much better compared to other festivals. Maybe it's just me?

My favourite memory was probably strolling through the forest, looking at all the trippy lights and coming across the miniature village, we found a bag of apples, chocolate coins, and lots of bubbles, so there we are, frolicking around the miniature village, blowing bubbles and acting like children when we go upstairs in one of the houses and found a women dressed up as a kangeroo, and she was rapping about farm yard animals. This was proceeded with walking back to our tent and going to Lucys Tasty Toastys like we did for every meal of the weekend. That was a good night.

I never heard any N2O going on during sets, but I was probably asked over a thousand times if I wanted some.

They were all pretty polite though, "EHhhh want sum gas bro", "No, thank you", "Okaizz, ava gud w33kend ladz x". Bless them/.

Good thread.

I have far too many great memories about last year, and some I'm sure didn't happen, but the one that sticks out in my mind is talking to a bloke named Adrian in the campsite. woke up at 6am one morning, weirdly nobody else was about, and it was just me and him. We spent about an hour outside my tent talking about Krautrock and home-based music production. not very exotic or mad, but the most poignant because that conversation on Friday morning set the tone of the whole festival for me.

seeing The Cure again last year for the first time in nearly 20 years.

I normally only do Glasto festival wise which is abit silly being as I live in Portsmouth right by the Isle of Wight. Bestival is probably the closest experience to it and most alike. I found it to be friendly and very homely. Will be going again this year for sure.

One of my favourite memories involved a young lad crashing into our campsite dressed as an Oz flying monkey. Very tiddled he was but sat down, had a drink and proceeded to do cards tricks that Paul Daniels would struggle with. Absolutely blew my mind.

I loved the music quiz in the tent before the main entrance too, lasted about 10 hours.
