2013/ the future of soni?

To add fuel to that they retweeted a tweet from one of the top guys at XFM radio stating he had heard rumours it was making a comeback, which also confirms it to be true in a sense.

Soni's press people have been saying for months that it's back next year. But a marketing camnpaign does not make a successful festival, or even mean that a festival will be announced. Both of those things require the right substance behind the words.

That isn't me saying that it won't be back, but nothing of any marketing means that it will be either.

Why wouldn't they get RATM on an exclusive? Not exactly a band that are touring left, right and center at the minute?

Hahaha okay okay, maybe this Soni fanboy thing is actually true!

They were at a fest that apparantly sold 12k tickets. That's barely enough for them to have done one arena show! Know one cares for KISS anymore.

Aye, seemingly posted by a few people all at once yesterday found em just by searching sonisphere on twitter - one of them from somebody from a record label of which a fair few of the bands have did the festival

so why no rants about how Soni would never go in this different direction, as happened when I suggested they might have the roses?

And, seeing as they'd have to have been booked in the last week, do you reckon it might have come about because of my breakdown of why that sort of different direction would give Soni the sort of certain future that they'll never have if they stay in the same metal/rock area? :P:lol:

Aye I think maybe theyve had to really think hard about the next move, in terms of what direction to go in. A wrong move now and the festival will be gone forever.

Green Day/ Blur/ PJ would be a strong line-up. I dont really like Blur but cant deny it would be a strong booking (maybe not as good as a few years ago, but still)

Havent had the chance to check Soni out yet so would be good if it stayed around so I can give it a go :)
