Did anyone on here buy a ticket for Sonisphere?

Everyone seems to be talking about it but no one seems to actually have a ticket. Anyone gutted they can't go now?

I had a ticket, bought specifically to see Queen + Adam Lambert, and I'm hoping that a solo gig is rescheduled somewhere soon for them. I'm planning on going to their Moscow gig too if I can manage to negotiate the Russian ticket site.

Was looking forward to seeing Kiss too; mainly for the curiousity and fun factors as well as ticking them off my 'seen' list. Not a big festival fan though - too old for all that malarkey! And having experienced Reading a couple of years ago, the average age of the audience there made me feel like Methusalah. Ha!

So, gutted that Soni is cancelled? No, not really, but will be massively disappointed if Q+AL not playing elsewhere.

Definitely gutted - no ticket though. Was a lot of bands I liked, but hadn't see for a several years. Headliners didn't appeal massively, but only tend to stay for half their sets, so can get a headstart in the car park.

Will have another look at DL, but although there's some good bands on the line up, I've seen a lot of them the last couple of years already (Biffy, Metallica, Rise Against, NOFX) - and no big draw. So, although a solid line up, just not necessarily one for me - even a day ticket is in question as the bands I would see again are spread across the days.

Soni WAS a very much more grown up festival. The average age was probably twice that of Reading.

Last a year a 17 year old came with my lot (mostly early to mid 20's) and the entire time she was there she kept moaning that it wasn't like Reading, she also moaned that there wasn't enough "cute boys" there too.

I had a ticket, I can see why more people would be attacted to the Download lineup but for me personally, I've seen most of the bands on there and Soundgarden and Sabbath were the only pulls for me. With Soni KISS and FNM are 2 of my fav bands so it was a no brainer.

I bought 2 weekend tickets for myself and the fiancee based on the fact FNM are my favourite band and KISS are hers.

I am gutted as we were both really looking forward to it.

We're going to Download anyway so not all is lost.

That and the fact Knebworth is 20 minutes from my house. Now I have to go to Scotland instead and visit her family that weekend.

Reached FMC level black last year so had a free Soni ticket for this year. Sunday was the only day that appealed to me, rest of the lineup was weak IMO

Got tixs for Garbage, Blur (with The Specials ), Frank Turner, Lightyear, Big D & The Kids Table and so far the only fest is Banquets Big Day Out.

I fancy going to Download but it's too early in the year (FUCK!!!) but probably going Reading (waiting on Lock Up/Refused) and Bestival possibly Womad too as they've got Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra. The problem I'm having this year is I've got a girlfriend this time round and I have to hold off getting tixs incase we break up take her into consideration.

Nice! A busy gig year then, yeah it is annoyingly early in the summer and this year will be my first festival as a single man so it's going to be a bit different
