Knebworth, 8 July

Has anyone heard anything (beyond vague rumours) about a replacement Knebworth event on Sonisphere's Sunday date?

It's just that Refused removed the Sonisphere date from their website when the cancellation was confirmed. However earlier today they uploaded a 'new' date in the same slot, listed solely as 'Knebworth'.

I imagine it seems to enough to indicate they will be supporting a bigger band on that date, as they won't just do it themselves.

I can't see it being Faith No More, and KISS would be a long shot. I'd guess something like.

I think it's a placeholder for a TBA replacement tour date for Refused, not at Knebworth, but in London.

The tour page has a ticket link for Ticketweb, I doubt they'd be using ticketweb for a big outdoor event as that never happens (unless there's an issue with See, Kili and AEG?). Kili is using ticketweb for the recently announced Fields of Nephilim replacement date, I reckon this is another replacement tour date like that. Probably the same date too if Refused have organised travel as they're in the US the weekend after so their tour window for summer is pretty tight.

Incubus have tweeted they're at work on a London date to make it up to the Sonisphere fans. So I guess that adds weight to this just being a replacement date like Incubus and Fields of the Nephilim in London

They're barely doing any dates in Europe this summer, but have announced other stuff so are coming over so can't see them not at least doing 1 UK date to make up for Soni being cancelled, but as they've not got much on, a few dates or even a tour would be entirely possible. Here's hoping anyways
