Which year has been your favourite that you've attened?

I think if I went in 06 it would have been my favourite though beautiful weather like 09 but Tool were there!

09 for a number of reasons, my first Download (last time I was at Donington was for MOR '88!!), the weather and Slipknot!

2010 becaue it's the only year I have been!! Headliners were pretty special that year though.......

Only been 2009, 10 and 11.

And enjoyed them all so much, really is just the best fucking time.

Id say 2009 just cus the weather, the undercard was so strong and it being my first year.

2010 was really good too had a huge group, bigger than 2009, but nightlife was shit.

Last year had a small group but nightlife was way better

Cannot WAIT until this year!

2003.... I was 13, It was my first festival and I randomly met Nicko McBrain in Drayton Manor theme park the day before. Lovely bloke actually, I went on a ride with him & his son & he bought me the on ride photo & signed it.

Only been twice, but for me its 2003.

Was in the second stage mid-afternoon right at the very front watching some random small bands... then after a band -forget which one- leaves stage, a wall of amps start to come on stage. Had no idea what was going on, except that the skater kids were slowly dissappearing and being replaced by older metallers. Suddenly this happens:

Absolutely crazy!

TLDR: Accidentally saw Metallica from the very front on the tiny stage at Download 2003.

Been every year since 2007 and loved it everytime, always the best festival of the year regardless of where else I've been. 2009 might just about take the crown, but only because the weather was so awesome.

Mind you, was anyone there for Korn in 2007 when the second stage was a just a tent?... when I was able to breathe again I knew I'd never miss another year!

'06 was brilliant. Loved it when the festival was inside the track. Also had a top camping spot and the weather was unbelievable (bordering on too hot perhaps)

'08 the worst, that arena was an embarrassment. Lineup wasn't much better.
