That being said not everything Copping says can be taken as truth. He did slag off Sonisphere for "copying" headliners (then goes and books Maiden and Rammstein in the same year) and claimed Metallica should take some time off, then booked them for the following year.

I'd love QOTSA though, last time I saw them I was a casual fan of their hits and thought they were awesome, I would appreciate them much more having listened to a few albums and developed a lot of favourites.

I'm not going back. Maiden bore the shit out of me anyway.

Rammstein pricked my interest a little, and if they had been doing the saturday I may have considered a day ticket, but I'm not taking the monday off work to go and see Rammstein on a sunday night - especially considering the fact that it has bucketed it down every year since 2010.

those things aside - I totally agree with salty, they really underdid it with coping with the mud this year.

and as I have already said, the days of me being herded around like cattle are coming to an end. I'd rather catch 2 or 3 of Rammstein's arena shows.

This is the same for me, yes they could have planned for the mud better, especially as it had been like it for days but come Friday they still couldn't open the arena making the first 2 bands cancel, and they only put straw down in the village in front on the vendors vans, both of these things were really crap cost cutting measures, for me the whole festival just seemed to change last year, it just seemed like they were trying to spend as little as possible but make as much money as possible whereas before they wanted the customer to leave having had the best possible all round festival experience possible.

This wasn't the case last year at all. The village gets crapper every year, more idiots turn up every year, the walk seems to get longer ha ha.

I love Copping on twitter says they're trying to shorten the walk, says this every year at the start then closer to the festival says there's nothing they can do. Also said they're looking into tackling the mud issue if it happens again. Its not hard, just cover the Village in straw, that was the main point it was bad and its not that huge an area to keep reapplying, they just didn't want to spend the money.

If Friday is Pearl Jam and Queens of The Stone Age sub to someone and they get Deftones back as they have a new album coming out, thats a very attractive line up. 3 headliners I haven't seen [seen some of Maidens set at Reading 05 but not full set] plus QOTSA are one of my favourite all time bands and Deftones aren't far off.

I think however I'll probably do a day ticket for Rammstein the way things stand
