Not meaning to call you out but if you want to see bands like Lana Del Rey, Little Boots and Marina then you should probably go to V. There's room for a few acts like that in the R&L line up but it's not really that kind of festival.

Last time she played Marina got bottled at Leeds really badly. Like 50 cent/ the rasmus Leeds 04 badly...... So yeah, not that type of festival.

Little boots played in 08 to a half empty nme tent.

Little Boots is a fantastic live act. Also, if anybody has the chance, go and see Santigold, saw her at Besty last year and she was absolutely brilliant.

As for the size of the crowd, I never said either were shit, just that neither were typical Leeds bookings.

They aren't typical bookings but they're well within the scope of the festival nowadays. Just don't expect too many of them.

Because R&L is predominantly a rock, alternative, indie, metal and punk festival. There are always gonna be a few other genres here and there (Santigold in the NME tent this year for example) but if you're gonna start booking lots of pop acts then you're deviating away from what the festival is all about.

I certainly wouldn't describe her as any form of rock. In fact, if I had to define her style I'd say indie pop.

I'd say Marina is absolutely pop, not as an insult, it's just what she is. Pop isn't a dirty word, Pet Sounds and Welcome To The Pleasuredome are just two fantastic pop albums off the top of my head, I could name millions more.
