anyone going to Groezrock? wrong place to post I guess but I'm guessing not many are looking at the backwater international festivals page.

really excited about it - first international festival and it's been a few years since I've managed to get excited about R+L as it's just a yearly event for me.

anyone going and fancy meeting up for a beer/mosh?

I also wish. It looks so awesome. Unfortunately I chose to start my new job the week after Groezrock, which was stupid. I also have friends who don't share my music taste.

I'm not going to Groezrock, but it's definitely in my future plans.

I went to Mighty Sounds in the Czech Republic and I'm going again this year. Although you don't get the 'huge' bands Leeds and Reading does, in my opinion it's a far superior festival.

The atmosphere is so relaxed, no trouble, everyone's really friendly - I assume it'll be the same at Groezrock.

The biggest bonus is the cost. It's £200+ for a Leeds/Reading ticket with Early Entry... for that I got a Mighty Sounds ticket, flight, one night in a hotel in prague and train to the festival. When you get there it was £1 a beer and the food was dirt cheap.

Even if you get the most expensive option for Groezrock, which is getting the coach (I think), it's £200, which is the same cost as Reading.

For me, it's stupid to spend £200 on Reading when the line up is not as attractive as Hevy and Groezrock. Think I might have to try and get a cheaper ticket on Ebay.

All over Hevy this year, anyone else on it? I've heard good things about it and there's loads of hardcore, which suits my taste very nicely!
