Green Day UK tour?

Foo fighters played to 86k at wembley and emirates woukd be around the 60k mark..so gazza not that far of.

Wembley can hold upto 100k seating and standing but how is Wembley once held a 86k gig means Emirates must be 60k? When Bruce Spingsteen played it was 48k people.

I think it's fair to say Green Day aren't as big as they were just after American Idiot.

Also, booking tickets for next summer is a pain anyway. I imagine it'll sell out a lot closer to the time

that's cos while they can't use all of the seats, they can use some of the pitch - and it about evens out.

They are pushing it on £63 a ticket.

Is that the average for a stadium gig? Only time ive been to one is the princess diana gig at wembley(it was for the wife okay)

I've never been to a stadium gig, I know it isn't a stadium but but Arcade Fire at Hyde Park last summer was about £65 and given that some arena gigs are up around £55 now it seems about right.

Never been to a stadium show this'll be my first infact.

Regardless of the fact that most big shows are around that price these days it's got to put some people off, or at least make them more selective about who they go and see.

Example: I would usually get myself Muse tickets but not being impressed with the more recent songs I've heard combined with the price of them and I'll give it a miss. Had they been £20 cheaper....or even £15 cheaper, I would have snapped up a pair without even giving it a second thought.

Yeah the one festival date we knew about ages ago, there's the arena tour left yet, which is what most people are waiting for

yeah you'll be waiting a while for that then, from a business point of view.. why would a band announce an arena tour when a stadium show isn't selling out?

i'm pretty sure there were never any plans for an arena tour.

Do you know anything about green day? The announcement was supposed to happen last week, same time as the stadium show went on sale. They won't just not tour the uk this album based on slow sales of the one date they have announced, THAT would be bad business! Their tours are always big sellers in the UK and to suggest they'd just skip us on a world tour is ridiculous.

I actually listen to this band, my point is that you pick up stuff. Maybe I'm wrong but it would be absurd for them not to tour the UK properly. Aside from the fact we've actually been told UK and Europe dates are coming soon.
