I was in the same field as Green Day's agent yesterday, but didn't get to speak to him. If I had, I could have asked him what was happening.

Release dates of albums confirmed for 24th September in the UK. The other two albums in November and January.

I assume a tour announcement will be very soon, probbaly after the Muse tour is sold out.

I'm surprised nothing has been announced yet, most big acts like to give 3 months notice before a tour unless it's just the odd date and looking at their dates they still have plenty of room for gigs in Sep. Their last euro gig is on the 2nd Sep and nothing else till 27th Oct in the US.

it's possible, I guess, that they've shelved the plans.

According to one major promoter we spoke to recently, sales for gig tickets is down around 50% this year on last year - so there's the possibility that what they were setting up wouldn't have sold as well as they wanted it to.

Be a bit strange that they would completely bypass the UK though. I would have thought they could at least play one O2 gig!

Maybe they'll just play a couple of small London shows instead to promote the album.

If they're worried about not selling out a tour wouldn't it make more sense for them to just do a festival tour next year? They'd make load more money headlining R/L's and a few other European festivals would they not?
