Not sure if it would apply to the UK, but the guitarist from all time low tweeted a while ago that they'd signed on to support Green Day in europe in the autumn with angels & airwaves.

Edit: I found the tweet, didn't actually say anything about autumn though oops

Just booked a couple European shows with Greenday/Angels and Airwaves. Fucking amazing!

This whole plans being shelved due to ticket sales worries, Coldplay tour sold out, I can't see why a few Green Day dates wouldnt.

Even if they don't do as extensive a tour as planned, a 5 date arena tour would sell out im sure

it was more speculation about why the dates haven't been announced than any sort of solid idea.

Someone posted above that the new single is being launched in the middle of July, so - speculating again - it might well be the case that dates get announced at around that time. This seems a stronger speculative idea.

But whatever the reason for why there's been no announcement of UK dates, I'm surprised. It's now around 6 months since I had word of them touring here in Sept, and there really shouldn't be any reason for that info to be wrong.

What it might be - speculating again - is that dates were pencilled in but never fully firmed up. I know, for example, of a major US act who was pencilling in some UK dates with venues about a month ago, but was also told they might not come to anything - because until those dates are slotted in with all the other schedules (the act's plans, what's lined up outside of the UK, etc) it's not possible to know if they can actually go ahead.

A guy posted this:

Apparently it's going to be announced by the 18th of July. I think the source is Kerrang. They tweeted the tour poster with the dates blurred out as a teaser.

Found this on an Irish music forum so the legitimacy could be questionable, but the guy that posted the poster is usually pretty reliable with this type of thing

anyone has some news?!?
