but also adding to the fact that angels and airwaves and all time low are both the supports on their tour dates in europe with them both being at the festival. makes me wonder how long this has actually been in play for.

Not true, bands are booked by the tour companies so it's very possible that's exactly why these bands are all playing together.

Aye obviously there's a degree of management/agents who represent multiple bands who'll approach FR and try to get a bunch of their bands onto festivals - and I imagine if each bands commitments allow for it, it's probably easier to try and organise a bunch at once for the same festivals. Although I don't know if those bands are represented by the same people? It's certainly not a case of the agents booking the festivals, they'll just approach the festivals they think fit in the schedule (or the festival might approach them) and then the festival organisers obviously have the say in if they play or not.

If they played the Lock Up at Reading on Friday though, people at Leeds would know about it for the Saturday and it would be rammed to dangerous levels, surely?

Very bad idea, Lock Up is far too small and people would end up being hurt/dead especially now people are speculating about it.

It'll be pretty obvious when they're playing if they are once the stage times are released much like it was when Them Crooked Vultures played and there was a massive gap between Patrick Wolfe and You Me At Six.

no reason why they couldn't play reading and leeds though. lockup on friday is on sat at leeds this year so still leaves sunday rock rock en seine
