But...with this government...it's I don't know, what are they trying to achieve, what is their main mission? Is it still green new deal type stuff, because doesn't really feel like that. Is it just to get the economy growing, because pretty much their whole budget was anti-growth. Is it to reform and sort out NHS? Well, go on then, what's the plan?
Right now it just feels like they're treading water, and everyone is wondering whether Reeves is going to lead us into more austerity because she's ran out of alternatives.
Probs not far off the truth that. Which makes it all the more annoying when people who should know better and cut Starmer some slack just join the Daily Mail/Telegraph pile on.
People vote for short term reasons on the whole. Attlee govt is often seen as the pinnacle for Labour, but they didn't feel the benefit of all the stuff they did and were only in power for a term and a bit, then it was Tories for the next 13 years.
