muffins
Last year getting on the Citylink bus from Aberdeen they checked everyone's bags when they were getting on the bus to make sure no one had any alcohol... my friend still got some on though as it was in a plastic bottle and they never realised. cammie81
Be creative. Take a pack of wine gums and a sherry triffle. Perhaps even some beer battered onion rings.
rexclark
Just pre mix some spirits with some juice. They won't let you take on a crate of beer but they won't stop you taking a bottle of juice on to drink.

weecraig
On our bus up from Glasgow last year they weren't searching rucsacks so if you kept your rucksack on the bus with you then you were sorted for a drink.
Eh Ah Ken
I really doubt they are legally allowed to go through your rucksack
Paul ™
They can search your bags if you agree. If not, they can refuse you on the bus.

rexclark
When they come on the bus and tell you to take any alcohol and stick it in the hold, people do realise they won't actually come round and check if you have or not? It's more like they have to tell you that you can't drink on the bus but really it's quite half arsed. Unless you're taking the piss and going on the bus with a crate of lager and being a pain in the arse they'll hardly take any notice. So if you are taking any booze on the bus take something in a bottle that you can hide easily and won't attract any attention to yourself. theampersanddevil
My bus last year the driver let us drink BUT he had a few conditions, be careful not to spill it and more importantly take all your empty cans and bottles with you. Great guy.
