not everywhere is a desert which demands such extreme conservation. California has a snowpack which feeds the ground water supply. What you really need to examine is the use of the Colorado River and its water. Because 60 years ago they got it wrong with calculating how it should be distributed and thats something thats a big fight between all the states who use it right now. Theres been ideas on how to store more of the rainfall or to be able to redistribute it but the nimby crowd doesnt give a f**k so we are just running in circles.
My two Mad Cools were 2018 and 2022 and so I go when there's a really special line up. The heat I don't mind but for all the hassle getting to the festival I want 4 days and I want stacked.
Since im going to Werchter, Sziget, Metronome plus some solo shows of Alanis and Iggy I might pick Pohoda since they've got QOTSA & Massive Attack and im based nearby so it'll be 300-400e cheaper in the end than MC or BBK
Yeah, the Mon/Tues is what I miss most about working Glastonbury. But I'm too old/tired/lazy* these days for that so just have to go for a Wednesday AM arrival. Hopefully this year you can aim for a bit earlier through the gates, not a fan of those evening coaches at all and I've heard a rumour that some people even arrive Thursday 🤯.
Would be pretty confident your priority status is absolutely fine. At this point I only qualify under the 7 in 7 rule, having skipped 2024 entirely, and still got this years email but there's been times in the past where the email didn't come through at all (for no obvious reason) and yet everything was still ok when I went to login on the day.
*delete as applicable, but really it's just lazy.
