Every feature that has been put into iPhones in recent updates and even features that have not made it into iPhones so far have all been done on other phones many times before, Apple are so far behind the times it is unreal in terms of software creativity and innovation.

However, the way Apple products are packaged including the actual look of the products themselves are so far ahead of everything else in terms of looking sleek and up to date even if the software doesnt follow that it makes people think they have an awesome super phone when in reality they are no better or worse than the top of the range phones out there.

The phones themselves run fantastically and that cannot be argued as it is such an easy phone to navigate but innovation this is not this is just a well made/packaged phone.

Steve Jobs was one of the greatest MARKETING pioneers of our time but in terms of software and features there is nothing really that special about iPhones.

This is also coming from someone who has an iPhone 4s and got it the day it was released (due to when my contract was up more than anything but still) and I absolutely love my phone but I am not blinded my marketing and realise there are just as good phones out there that I could have just as easily bought and probably would have cost me a lot less

if you have a mac (don't like viruses :P)

oh dear oh dear.

Proportionally, Macs are currently virused at around twice the rate of PCs.

And the reason why is that Mac users are living in cloud cuckoo land, because Apple keep perpetuating the myth despite knowing of the huge virus problem for around a year.

The app store and iTunes first of their kind

first only in tying you in to them.

and not to mention the thousands of jobs that now exist in the field of making apps.

apps which are riddled with all the same problems as computing had in the early 80s, showing that Apple have learnt nothing over 30 years.

One of the first smartphones have a proper Internet browser and e-mail access.

things that I had on my phone long before the iPhone existed.

iCloud and Siri are 2 good new features as well

I was "iClouding" nearly 20 years ago. I guess Apple stole the idea from me.

It's not a case of being a fanboy or brainwashed it's just a device that is relevant to my needs.

the only thing it might offer above others is some pink fluff round the edges. That's only of interest to people who are dazzled by glitter and not substance.

And Itunes is terrible piece of software for anyone who uses Windows (which is the majority). How it got to be so popular I will never know!

No one was making money and selling software before then? Even on a small scale? and most of the best paid for apps are now big companies churning them out....exactly the same as computers before hand...

 E-mail access? Yes no Phones were doing that before, defo no syncing to email accounts before the iphone on phones

Yes on-line storage has never been before, and Siri is fricking useless? What need does it really meet? and besides android has had voice recognition for a while. Plenty of phones and other tech have been doing voice recognition commands for a while. Quite why you need your phone to talk back to you with its current limited tech I don't know.

No clearly :P

I've never heard of or seen any virus on a Mac (that would affect a user). Please share at least one case of this.

Windows is ok for other stuff but 90% of the stuff that i personally use computers for mac is better for me.

It's cheaper to buy a shit phone to take to festivals than to charge up a smartphone every day once you get to the course of several festivals.

And depending on the smartphone, it can be cheaper than buying a spare battery. Isn't it impossible to replace it on the iPhone without breaking warranty/sending it to Apple?
